We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a variety of workshops on the 21st and 28th of September.
Join us on the Open Window, Stellenbosch campus for an opportunity to participate in new and exciting workshops.

  • The workshops are for learners in Grade 10, 11 or 12.
  • The cost for each workshop is R450.00 per pupil.
  • For those enrolling with us in 2025, the R450.00 will be credited toward your first year of studies.

To reserve your seat, please follow these steps:

1. Complete a registration form for each workshop you wish to attend.
2. Attach your proof of payment to the form to secure your seat. (Seats are limited.)
3. Please take note of the booking deadline for each workshop.

Cyanotype Workshop

Unleash your creativity with our Light Painting Workshop, where photography meets art in an exciting and hands-on way. This workshop introduces you to the mesmerising world of light painting. You’ll learn how to use long-exposure techniques to create stunning images by painting with light. Join us for a fun, interactive experience and discover how to turn simple lights into spectacular works of art!

What to bring:
A torch and wear clothes you want to be photographed in.

Illustration & Gouache Workshop

Illustration has no boundaries. There is no right or wrong. You are free to explore the deepest and wildest aspects of your imagination. Illustration is the practice of conceptualizing your ideas on paper. Students will experiment with differnet illustration mediums such as gouache, collage and ink, whilst learning colour mixing essentials and gouache painting techniques. Gouache paint is very verstile and can transcend the boundaries of many mediums—do a wash like a watercolour, blend like an oil, and drybrush like acrylic.

What to bring:
Water container, sketchbook and pencil.

Printmaking Workshop

Creative Printmaking: a quick and accessible approach to Printmaking. Students will experiment with several printmaking techniques, including monotype, intaglio, and collagraph printing. Students will learn how to transform their own kitchen or livingroom into a small printmaking studio, and will produce a set of take-home prints.

What to bring:
Apron, Gloves (optional – but recommended if you have very sensitive skin or manicured nails).
Empty Tetrapak containers – e.g. empty milk cartons, or fruit juice cartons.

Create with Technology Workshop

The Create with Technology Workshop explores how the modern creative industry benefits by using technology. The course covers an introduction to working with 3D printing and laser cutting, both an integral skill and tool in the industry. Students will get exposure to both hardware and software after which they will get the opportunity to 3D print and laser their take-home item.

CAD Design & Product Renders Workshop

An introduction to the industry standard CAD Software (SolidWorks) and product renders. All students will be guided to create a product in SolidWorks and a render in Visualize to develop a critical and well sought-after skill.
