OPEN WINDOW FILM ARTS PROUDLY PRESENTS
THE 55-HOUR FILM FESTIVAL
28 – 29 – 30 JULY 2023

Themes etc. to be revealed on Friday 28 July at 16:00 in the AV Auditorium
Finished films are to be handed in before 23:00 on Sunday 30 July 2023

RULES OF THE GAME:

• All finished films must aim to be exactly 05:55 in length.
• There will be five lines of dialogue to choose from (at least one line must be included in the film).
• There will be five different props to choose from (at least one prop must be included in the film).
• There will be five genres to choose from (at least one genre must be used in the film).
• The WORDLE word of 28, 29 or 30 July must be included in the film.

REGISTRATION:

• All participants form their own groups of 4-6 members.
• A maximum of one person per group may be a non-OW person (student or staff).
• Alumni (former students) are welcome to enter as part of any group and do not count as non-OW persons.
• Email your group’s names to jaco@openwindow.co.za – registration of groups closes on 26 July.
• At least one member of each group needs to be physically present for the Kickstarter Gathering in the AV Auditorium on Friday 28 July at 16:00 (groups in other cities or countries will be invited to a live GMeet which will coincide with the on-campus launch).

All films will be screened in the AV Auditorium on the evening of Tuesday 1 August, and winners will be selected and announced.
